The service

CartGuard is a Shopify app published by EcomLabs. It lets you define cart rules and compiles them into Shopify checkout validation. Enforcement runs inside Shopify.

Subscriptions and trials

CartGuard is billed monthly through Shopify at $5 (Basic), $10 (Growth) or $20 (Pro) USD per month. Every plan starts with a 15-day free trial, granted once per store. Billing, charges and refunds are handled by Shopify under your Shopify account terms.

What happens if your subscription ends

If your subscription is cancelled or expires, CartGuard stops blocking carts and rule editing is locked. Your rules are preserved and resume when you choose a plan again. CartGuard is designed to fail open: a billing problem never prevents your customers from completing a purchase.

Plan limits

Plans cap the number of simultaneously active rules at 10, 50 and 250 respectively. Rules beyond your limit are never deleted; they simply cannot be activated until you disable another rule or change plan.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the rules you create and for the messages shown to your customers. CartGuard enforces exactly the rules you publish. Test rules in the simulator before activating them.

Availability

Published rules are evaluated by Shopify and continue to work independently of CartGuard's own availability. The admin interface, rule authoring and publishing require CartGuard to be reachable and are provided without an uptime guarantee.

Limitation of liability

CartGuard is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, EcomLabs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated through the app before they take effect.
